Meridian is a self-service industry pioneer, leading in innovation and precision since being founded in 1999. A fully integrated manufacturer, Meridian designs, engineers, fabricates, assembles, deploys and supports self-service solutions from our 13-acre headquarters in North Carolina. Meridian is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and UL self-certify facility. With all processes, from software development, to powder coating, to quality control completed in-house, we proudly offer American-made interactive kiosks to a global marketplace.
As an end-to-end manufacturer, quality is one of our top priorities. Our processes are ISO 9001:2015 certified and our products are designed to UL listing safety standards.
At Meridian, we’re constantly growing and improving to meet demand. With three facility expansions over the past ten years, we now have more room than ever for large scale deployments.
With nearly 20 years in the digital kiosk and signage industry, our experienced support team is prepared to address any hardware or software challenges that may arise.
Because Meridian owns the entire process, we are able to deliver our solutions in shorter time frames, helping customers maintain and grow their self-service deployments as their demand grows.
Meridian’s 13-acre corporate headquarters in Aberdeen, North Carolina is home to our administrative buildings, design and engineering studios, fabrication operations—including lasers, press brakes, turret punches, pem machines, welding, grinding, and painting—assembly, integration, and shipping facilities. Having all aspects of the business on one campus allows us to seamlessly integrate every aspect of the production process, from concept to completion.
DESIGN + ENGINEERING
Drawing from their breadth of kiosk design experience, as well as the aesthetic requirements for each project, Meridian’s designers create solutions that help clients address their market needs. Photo-realistic renderings are provided in the final stage of design for client approval.
Meridian’s in-house eco-friendly fabrication process includes cutting cold rolled steel using laser or turret punch technology, bending the parts, welding, finishing and powder coating per the fully functional 3-D CAD model.
ASSEMBLY + INTEGRATION
Each component of the solution is assembled and inspected before graphics application and software integration. High quality Lexan laminated graphics are printed and applied in house. Software is integrated and tested by Meridian’s team of software engineers.
STAGING + DEPLOYMENT
Units are cleaned, inspected, wrapped, packaged, and overall prepared at our facility before heading to the final destination. Meridian offers consultation services to help guide our clients with a strategic action plan for their kiosk deployment.
Meridian was awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification on August 10, 2018 by Advantage International. This achievement marks the next step in Meridian’s long-standing focus on quality. Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the most popular standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard in the series to which organizations can certify. Additionally, Meridian is proud to be SOC2 Compliant ensuring the highest quality protections for all software developments.
Meridian continues to maintain a leadership position with accessibility as ADA guidelines and requirements evolve. As self-service experts, we understand that when a self-service option is provided, ADA regulations require it to be accessible and independently usable by people with disabilities. For example, if a self-order kiosk is offered to customers but a disabled person has to place their order at the counter, then under ADA regulations, the person with disabilities is being denied the same level of service being offered to able-bodied people. At Meridian, we recognize the importance of staying proactive in designing our models to comply with the most recently implemented ADA guidelines.
Meridian is a UL Self-Certify Facility. UL brings clarity and empowers trust to support the responsible development, production, marketing and purchase of goods, solutions, and innovations. The certification focuses largely on making products safer to use—addressing electrical safety, fire risks, and other product hazards. As a result, UL connects people to safer, more secure, more sustainable products, services, experiences and environments.
